Dr. Timothy Jornkatonor, Pharm. Candi., M. PH

Dr. Timothy Jornkatonor currently serves as the Academic Coordinator at Harvest Intercontinental American University, located in Chugbor, Old Road, Liberia. He earned a Certificate in Nursing and Sanitation Training from the Florence Nightingale Institute of Health Sciences, currently called Living Bread College, in 2012.

In 2017, he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with an emphasis in Chemistry from the United Methodist University, Liberia. Continuing his academic advancement, Mr. Jornkatonor earned both a Postgraduate Diploma in Education and a Master’s Degree in Education in 2019 from the Cuttington University School of Graduate and Professional Studies, Congo Town, Monrovia, Liberia.

In 2022, he was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Epidemiology and a Master’s Degree in Public Health (Epidemiology) from the same institution — Cuttington University School of Graduate and Professional Studies, Congo Town, Liberia.

Mr. Jornkatonor is currently a graduating senior in the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program at the School of Pharmacy, University of Liberia.

Dr. Emmitt C. Dennis, PhD, Mathematics

Dr. Emmett C. Dennis obtained his undergraduate education at the University of Liberia where he graduated with a degree in Mathematics and Physics in 1972. His graduate education was obtained in the United States, where he obtained a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan; a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio; and a doctorate in Mathematics Education from the University of New Orleans, in New Orleans, Louisiana.He was a Mathematics Teacher in the United States for more than 35 years and finally retired from the Mathematics Department of Southern Connecticut State University in June of 2018,after teaching there for 17 years. He returned to Liberia in July 2018 to teach in the UL Department of Mathematics and also take up a position as the Executive Director of the newly formed UL Teaching and Learning Center. He retired from that position in November of 2023.
He is presently a Mathematics Instructor of the newly organized Harvest Intercontinental American University (HIAU), located on Chugbor Road, in Sinkor Old Road.

Mr. Thomas N. Gmawlue Jr., BSc, MSc (Structural Engineering)

Mr. Thomas N. Gmawlue Jr. is a Liberian born and raised in Montserrado, Liberia, during the later part of the Liberian Civil War. A proud Christian by faith, Thomas is a young, creative, and goal-oriented professional dedicated to exploring avenues in Structural Engineering and Construction through design, supervision, and research. He focuses on developing sustainable projects with an emphasis on efficiency, quality, integrity, and training emerging engineers for infrastructural development.

Mr. Gmawlue holds a BSc in Civil Engineering (Cum Laude, Class Salutatorian) from the University of Liberia and a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering (First Division) from Chandigarh University, India. He has also published research papers on advanced concrete technology and has been invited as a research scholar to conferences in both India and the USA.

In Liberia, Mr. Gmawlue has served as a Civil and Structural Engineering Consultant and Contractor for notable projects, working with reputable organizations and international NGOs. His passion for human capacity building has led him to serve as a part-time lecturer at Harvest Intercontinental America University (HIAU), where he teaches courses in science and engineering to prepare the next generation of engineers. Additionally, he is widely recognized for his positive influence on youth through his righteous and educational leadership.
