The Bishop Darlingston Johnson Education Mandate (BDJEM)

The Bishop Darlingston Johnson Education Mandate is a global call to action to make quality Christian education accessible to all—especially in underserved communities. Established in 2018 by Bishop Dr. Darlingston G. Johnson, the mandate reflects his conviction that education is the way to change nations.

“This is the way to change a nation.”
—Bishop Dr. Darlingston G. Johnson

This initiative mobilizes leadership, resources, and faith to build schools, strengthen academic institutions, and empower future generations. It has led to the founding of Harvest Intercontinental American University (HIAU), supported Pre-K–12 schools across dioceses, and continues to provide technical assistance and financial support where it is most needed.

To date, the mandate has been sustained by sacrificial contributions from members and friends of Harvest Intercontinental Ministries Unlimited (HIM-U) who are deeply committed to HIM-U’s vision of educational equity and exceptionality. Through this work, we aspire to see a world where no one lives or dies without access to exceptional quality education.
